A Friend's Concern vs. My Determination
I met with a close friend last night, and he was worried about how intensely I've been working on my startup. We'd just finished an evening workout, and afterward, he asked me if I was depressed or in denial, pressing me to promise I'd drop everything if it doesn't pan out. I understood his concern, but I couldn't help but smile.
It's Not Desperation, It's a Choice
From where I stand, I'm doing fine. Yes, PlantonCloud might fail for reasons outside my control—that's just how startups go. But for now, I'm pouring my heart into it because I believe in it. If it doesn't work, I'll adapt. I've got the skills to figure something else out, so this commitment isn't desperation—it's a conscious choice.
This Feels Like Freedom
People wonder what happens if I don't make money soon. The truth is, I have responsibilities, and I do need to make a living. But I see a real path forward with what I'm building. I'm hopeful, I'm focused, and I'm not afraid of the outcome. It might look like "all or nothing" from the outside, but it feels like freedom to me. If this doesn't work, I'll find a new approach. One thing's for sure: I'm not going back to a life that doesn't light me up this much.
